Well done David and Leo, each with a winner on Thursday. My birthday bacon was saved by Adaay In Asia at 15.5 on Betfair.
If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
York is one of my favourite meetings and I'll post a couple of bets for Friday later.
Simply songeimm won at 2 to 1
NAP Crobally Boy 6.45 Kilbeggan. "Shark" and Rachael..........
Highfield Princess won at 5s
Encourageable is a NR so today's good thing is now:
4.45 York - Desert Order
Top Secret 14:50 Newb Nap
1.50 York. Party Island is improving rapidly although this is some step up in grade - won a class 5 last time, where he clocked a strong time figure (compared with rivals here) Most wins under a claimer; De Sousa rides today. 22/1 EW to 6 places Skybet - the value bet.
1.50: Party Island: Juan De Montalban
4.10 State Occasion: Amanzoe
5.20 Golden Voice: System: Operating
2.50 Auditor: Rebel Territory: Koy Koy
Shame for ITV viewers, like me, that they couldn't have included some races from Newbury today, instead of inane fashion chat between races. Dettori has 3 rides there today, Frantastic for Gosden and Oppenheimer combo, I'm guessing the main reason. And Sean Levey looks like he could have a few winners.
Should be some more good racing today, but not feeling confident about any selections...
Marshman 3.00Y is the one for the nap
So far I've only backed 2 in the Nunthorpe. one of which is my new found fav
Nap York 1535 Highfield Princess
who is becoming a cliff horse. Only raced once over 5f before so might get taken off her feet although I loved the point and shoot tactics last time. The other is Platinum Queen who is getting a min 22lbs from the rest and has Holly up which suggests to me that one will be going flat out from the off too.
Dark Swansong - 14.15 Newbury
Enjoying the York meeting but napping elsewhere. Simply sondheim new 6.29 will hopefully offer something to sing about after yesterday's choruses of Happy Birthday to Joe
Emaraaty Ana 3.35 York is todays nap, well done to yesterdays winners.
5.20 York - Encourageable (each way)
Some strange Jockey allocations at York today.
I get the Ryan Moore thing with T&H Gosden in Coolmore colours later in the 17.20.
I quiet get he might have been "released" from New York City in the Nunthorpe to partner Khadeem.
However, I seem to be the only person who has noticed that WM Lordan always gets the Westerbergs Silks. It is never for instance JA Heffernan.
Sometimes I feel I am in a black and white American 1950s Sci-Fi film whereby I am the last Human on the Planet and nobody but me notices that WM Lordan carries the Westerberg Silks ahead of most Jockey opposition.
My confident nap is Salt Lake City in the 16.45. York.
APOB doesn't mess about at York.
