Well done JD, Gforce, and Highflying - all on the scoreboard yesterday. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
I know up here int 'ills I'm miles away from Ripon but I'm hopeful the forecast rain isn't going to affect the going. I've been out and about for a good while this morning and while it seems we're in a cloud its a refreshing damp mist and not really wetting the ground. Its supposed to disappear by tomorrow morning so a nice day could dry the ground out.
Nap Wolves 1450 Urban Decay
Gosdens have 2 in to try and beat me but Danny is riding superbly. Stable is a bit quiet but they've been rattling the crossbar a good number of times.
It looks to me that all the 15.45 Contenders in the listed Newbury Race have been named after Scott Walker or Smokey Robinson Songs or else imitations of their works.
It is unusual for Ryan Moore to travel to Mallow and if I wasn't on a brutal 106 hour Continuous shift right now I would be there.
I think his choice of Boogie Woogie over Library is significant but I have to nap Tarawa in the earlier 17.20.
NAP Final Gesture 5.52 Mallow.....assuming racing continues, dreadful weather there .
Nap: Library 17:52 Cork
Squeezebox in the 19:30 at Newmarket.
I've deserted last weeks 2nd placed nap Southwold running in the 18:55 even though he's running in the right County this time.
Cork 5.52 - Shamida
Boiling Point 14.40 Newbury was my pick last night - its went short but on a cold spell so wont change.
Well done to this weeks winner's..
Arranmore 20:20 Thirsk Nap
