Anime 12/1 winner for Highflying, and apologies to Gforce for missing that Wednesday winner. If I've missed your winner, give me a shout on this thread.
Plenty can go wrong on this drying ground. Walk Away Harry was certainly doing his best work at the end on his debut on the heavy - and St Charles of Byrnes had a bumper winner at Ayr last weekend. The form may not amount to much - the horse is not strong in the betting. The extended trip might be in favour of the giant Lecky Watson who was running well in the Champion Bumper when he was hampered (though he wouldn't have beaten A Dream To Share even with a clear run). Quantum Storm probably has the best form in the race (especially after Ballyburn's win last night) but will he find this surface a bit quick? Gordon is not having a good week either. Talk In The Park tried to make all in atrocious ground at Clonmel and looked very much at home in it. He was nabbed by Great Universe who ran quite well behind Ballyburn, so he again would be one for the shortlist if he is ground versatile. So a lot of ifs and buts with plenty of unraced horses to muddy the waters.
Affordability checks, the Derby start brought forward to 1.30, Sandown off, Jake completely out of sight; it’s not been a good week! Perhaps Rockonmecca can provide some good cheer in the 17.35 at Donny. That’s the selection.
When will Cooper, the COC there get the sack. He couldn't maintain my bloody lawn.
The one at Chepstow needs a talking to as well ,he watered ,"to maintain " he's said. Even though heavy rain was forecast . What's so bloody scary nowadays about the term good to firm.
Horses who act on it are now denied a proper chance .
Walk Away Harry won at 11/1.
Always pleasing when you like a horse on debut and add it to the tracker, although he did leave it a bit late.
