A few good winners on Thursday, but I'm afraid that after an Apple update, all my spreadsheet work has disappeared. I'll wait 24 hours to see if they release a fix. If not, I'll update by hand from the screenshots.
The Fontwell 2.50 was painful to watch - a match between two horses that can't jump for toffee. Milton Harris's French import ran off 126 and could be well handicapped if he could brush up his jumping. But Milton must be wondering what to do with Ikarak now as he has run a 131-rated horse to less than a length and the handicapper will probably correct that speculative opening mark.
Bernardo o'reilly won at 16/1. I took ew. I'll be humming the magnificent seven theme tune all afternoon as Mr o'reilly was played by charles bronson apparently. Interspersed with the clash track.
Sabrina is no longer the Teenage Witch for me. There's a young Sabrina here in Wales who delivers the weather forecast on the BBC. She is an outstanding meteorologist. I'm not allowed to call her Sabrina the Weather Girl though.
I was going to do Baron De Midleton in 3.00 at Ayr, but a quick Google search suggests he should be running at Cork instead!
Had a shocker yesterday - - on my first run through the Newmarket card, I selected Passenger, Garrus and Indestructible, but changed my mind on all 3!! I'm sure we've all been there....
Shedload in the tracker today. All jumpers and its that time of year when I don't fancy any. So to the flat. Dom Ff Davis has has a great start and has Kalik looking good today but a bit short. I expect Sir Michael to kinda bumble his way into a new season but this year he's made a brilliant start too. Perhaps the Coronation has jolted him into action and he has the King's Gentle Light out today; to the Tower should he lose! His other has a good name (that's why we nap horses, because their name appeals)
Nap Newb 1730 Eleutheromania
which I have found means a massive yearning for freedom. Has a member of the Niarchos family been incarcerated? Or does it reflect Stavros' attitude to marriage? I don't know and wait in anticipation of being corrected but he did seem to take the approach of Henry VIII.
Stav was married five times (including a pair of sisters) so your second theory is probably closer to the mark. He didn't quite get the six up like Henry - nor did he resort to the chopping block. Both men liked large ships though.
Some nice winners selected on this forum yesterday. Well done to all. Personally, I’m finding this month a real trial and doubt I’ll be able to identify any classic winners at the end of it.
Today my dart has landed on Lookingdandy in the 14.15 at Fontwell. I’ll be backing it ew but for the purposes of the comp it’s win only.
I’m not on Twitter and hope to God that Pat Cosgrave isn’t either. I’d say there’s some right poison flying around this morning. Saying that, it was an excruciating watch last night.
Just watched it - oh dear. He really pulls it up doesnt he - im not sure the handicapper would be fooled by his efforts if that was the intent so its a shocker of an error. paddy Power paid out on his horse - which was a nice gesture that wont have cost them much i imagine but still.
Guardian published two letters together today, one anti racing, one pro. The headline: 'racing disregard for animal life appalling'. Obviously, they couldnt bring themselves to take the headline from the pro letter along the lines horses are social animals who enjoy racing & have good lives. Nap is snowy clouds 4.10A.
A guy told me trap 3 in 9 c limerick €80,000 sponsor jpmccmanus..
Sabrina 3.35 Ayr won with an SP of 8/1 with a 10p in the pound rule4 deduction.

Ryan Moore is coming to Mallow for only 2 rides so presumably riding out at Ballydoyle before hand is the main priority.
I am going to take a chance on The Black Tiger in the 13.58.

Well done to yesterday's winners, some lovely prices!
As for The G, I've started reading Séamas O'Reilly, "Ask Phillipa", Stuart Heritage and "How we Met" instead of the racing content.......😓
