About Us

We started this forum in Autumn 2021. Most of the founder members had inhabited the Talking Horses page in The Guardian newspaper, and some still do, although its regular publication is now in doubt.

We had been used to being able to talk among ourselves on The Guardian every day, and wanted somewhere to continue that. This is why we set up Horsetalk, initially by using workarounds on a current Wordpress site. As from 1 January 2022 we moved to Wix and are experimenting first with their free site, before upgrading in time.
